Independent testing · Launch Check

Who tested your app besides you?

You built it, so you know exactly how it's supposed to work. You click the same buttons in the same order every time. Your customers won't. Let an independent tester use it before strangers do.

The problem with testing your own app

You can't unsee how it works

After you've built something, you physically cannot use it like a stranger. You avoid the broken paths without noticing. You type valid data because you know what valid looks like. You never double-click, never hit back mid-checkout, never arrive from a stale tab.

Here's what that misses in real apps:

Every one of those is a real defect pattern from live applications we've tested. None of them are exotic. All of them are invisible to the person who built the thing.

What you get

A stranger uses your app
and writes down everything that breaks

We use it wrong on purpose

Empty fields, absurd values, wrong order, back button, refresh mid-flow, two tabs at once, expired sessions, mobile and desktop.

Your main journey, end to end

The one path that matters — sign up, do the core thing, pay if there's payment. Start to finish, as a first-time user.

Findings you can act on

Each one written with what we did, what happened, what should have happened, and why it matters — not a vague list of opinions.

A straight answer

A launch verdict: GREEN ship it, YELLOW fix these first, RED don't put strangers through this yet.

Prioritised, with evidence, in plain language. Not a spreadsheet of jargon you have to decode.

Why trust us with it

We've been documenting defects since 2024

Three real findings from applications we tested — details changed, client information removed:

Data exposure

An address anyone could type into a browser returned customer names, phone numbers, what they'd booked, what they paid and how. No login required. Change one number in the URL, get the next customer.

Money handling

A tip field accepted a 60-digit number. The order total came back as $1e+30. No limit, no warning, no error.

Payment state

The card payment went through successfully. The app didn't register it, kept the order open, and asked the customer to add a tip a second time.

Being straight with you That documented history is independent testing of live business software — booking systems, payments, healthcare platforms, multi-role SaaS. It is not a claim that those specific clients built with AI tools. We're telling you this because the failure patterns are identical, and because you should be suspicious of testers who won't tell you what their evidence actually covers.

Questions

Before you buy

What if you don't find anything?

Then you get a green verdict and documented evidence that an independent tester tried to break your app and couldn't — which is exactly what you're paying to find out. In practice, we have never tested an application and found nothing.

How long does it take?

We confirm your test window by email before work starts, so you'll know the date before we begin. We don't publish a blanket turnaround because it depends on your app — and we'd rather give you a real date than a marketing promise.

Do you need my password?

Never send us production admin credentials. After payment we'll ask you to create a normal test account, exactly like one of your users would have. If your app can't be accessed without special access, we'll work that out with you first.

Do you fix the bugs too?

Testing and fixing are kept separate on purpose — findings you can trust have to be independent of anyone who profits from the repair. If you want help fixing what we find, ask us after you've read the report, and we'll quote it separately.

My app is more complicated than this.

Then Launch Check is the wrong size. If you've got multiple user roles, integrations, APIs, webhooks or subscriptions, look at Break Test, or ask for a quote.

Who actually does the testing?

Testers at GIFTY Solutions, who have been documenting defects on live business software since August 2024 — the same people whose findings are quoted on this page.
